Apple at a March 7, 2012 news conference in San Francisco announced that they will release a new tablet known as “The new iPad” on March 16, 2012. It is not iPad 3, simply known as “The new iPad”.
What’s new for The new iPad? It is somewhat same in size and shapeto iPad 2 thought slightly fatter and heavier. But under the hood it has several upgrades. Screen is twice (2047X1356 pixels) the resolution of iPad 2. That is more than any of your typical 1080p devices. It has a new quad-core processor, a custom chip for graphics (not the main) for the new iPad. Apple claims that it has power comparable to PS3 or Xbox 360. It comes with 16, 32 and 64GB internal storage. Its camera is capable of taking photos at 5 Megapixels, record video at 1080p and other standard features. Wi-Fi and 3G are faster andworks great, and comes with a 4GLTE option. Battery life is typically 10 hours (9 for 3G). The new iPad is priced from $500 to $830.
Critics say much of what was revealed at the press conference expected and the new iPad failed to excite the customer.
